Bramac Tile Roof
How we did it.
A family home built in 1985 with original flat tiles that had started cracking and letting in water. The clients wanted a full roof replacement with new attic insulation, as they planned to extend their living space.
We removed the old tiles by hand (to protect the timber structure), inspected all the timbers, and replaced 4 beams that had been attacked by insects. A new vapour-open membrane, vapour barrier, Knauf Akustik 18cm between rafters, and a final Tyvek waterproof membrane were installed.
Bramac Tegalit tiles in 'Mediterran red', with a 30-year manufacturer warranty. Aluminium gutters 125mm with reinforced joints. Finished on time despite rainy days in September. We tarped everything every night.
